Highland Roots Animal Outreach: Paws of Compassion is a community-based program that supports low-income families, unhoused individuals, and vulnerable animals by providing resources that help keep animals healthy, safe, and cared for. We believe that financial hardship should never be the reason an animal goes hungry or is left without care.
Through community donations and partnerships, Paws of Compassion distributes pet food, supplies, and essential resources to families in need. In addition to supporting pet owners, we actively outreach to help stray and unhoused animals by connecting them to food, basic medical care, and pathways to safety, including foster placement and adoption when possible.
This program was created in honor of a dedicated San Gabriel Valley animal advocate whose lifelong commitment to caring for stray and unhoused animals inspired this work. Rooted in compassion and community responsibility, Paws of Compassion strengthens the bond between people and animals while working to reduce suffering and promote dignity for all living beings.

Monetary donations help fund food distribution, veterinary resources, and outreach efforts for animals in the San Gabriel Valley. Your financial support allows us to respond directly to the most urgent needs in our community.
